Mr. Kavulich was born and raised in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area. Undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Scranton in 1976 receiving a BA in History with a minor in Accounting. In 1979, he attained his Juris Doctorate from Western New England School of Law. While pursuing his JD degree, Mr. Kavulich distinguished himself as a member of the Law Review whereupon he published in the Winter, 1979 edition of the Western New England Law Review an legal note discussing the complex elements of three-party sale and leaseback transactions. Following graduation, Mr. Kavulich relocated to Miami to pursue his Masters of Law in Taxation from the University of Miami, attaining that degree in May of 1980.
Upon attaining membership in the Florida Bar in January of 1981, Mr. Kavulich begun his practice of law in the areas of Probate and Estate Planning. In 1982, he added Family Law and Real Estate to his chosen areas of practice.
Mr. Kavulich’s membership in the Florida Bar enables him to practice at all levels of Courts in the State of Florida. Mr. Kavulich is also licensed to practice before the United States Tax Court.
In 1997, Mr. Kavulich attained the top rating of AV from Martindale Hubble. Mr. Kavulich is also an agent with Attorneys Title Insurance Fund which allows him to provide title insurance on real estate acquisitions, both residential and commercial, as well as provide title insurance in loan refinancing transactions.
Mr. Kavulich has handled appeals in complex family law matters. Reported opinions in which he has acted as appellate counsel include Huml v. Collins, 739 So. 2d 633 (Fla. 3rd DCA, 1999); Hollinger v. Hollinger, 684 So. 2d 286 (Fla. 3rd DCA, 1996); Hollinger v. Baur, 719 So. 2d 1213 (Fla. 3rd DCA 1998), and Kalman v. Kalman, 623 So. 2d 1213 (Fla. 3rd DCA, 1993); Acker v. Acker, 904 So. 2d 384 (Fla. 2005).
